Bowder Maternity Shoot

Posted: April 11, 2013 in Bellies, Couples, Portraits

My good friends and ministry partners are having a baby! In fact today is her due date! But since Aunaleise is taking her sweet time coming to see us, we decided to throw in a last minute photo shoot of mom, dad and baby belly. Kevin and Ashley are beautiful people so it was easy to get some great shots. These are just a few of the over 300 I took- sheesh!

Garr/ McFarland Family

Posted: November 14, 2012 in Children, Family, Portraits

This adorable family kept it simple and we met on a golf course in their neighborhood. Their outfits were perfectly coordinated without being too matchy. They even added some flare by rocking the 3D glasses in some of the shots. It was a fun time had by all and here are a few of my favorite shots.

One is Fun!

Posted: September 17, 2012 in Babies, Children, Portraits

Ashton Botts will be turning one at the end of September so her parent’s decided to commemorate the event with a photo shoot announcement! I grabbed my camera and the chance to photograph this beautiful baby girl! We set up shop in her backyard, used some of her party decoration flowers for props and laughed away! I love all the bright colors and the sparkle in her eye as she belly laughed at my photo assistant (AKA my husband) being silly behind me. What joy! Thanks Andy and Lauren for the chance to play and celebrate this occasion with your beautiful family!

Alex Maney- Senior Pictures

Posted: July 6, 2012 in Portraits

Although Alex didn’t want to have senior picture done his mom convinced him that a session with me would be painless, so he agreed. We had a great time walking around the Clinton Presidential Library for our photo shoot which provided a wide variety of backdrops and scenery. He was in and out in 30 minutes and we all walked away happy with the resulting photos!

Haley Evans-Senior Portraits

I was so honored (and excited) to be asked to do Haley’s senior pictures. She is a woman of beauty, strength and passion and I knew the camera would love her. She and her mom Terri,  had some great ideas for shots and looks that would highlight her hobbies and personality so I knew it would be a great session!

Whatley Family

Posted: February 15, 2012 in Couples, Family, Portraits

This blended family came with tons of energy and spunk! With 3 teenagers involved, the photo shoot was never dull. These girls spent their time trying to distract the others from the perfect shots but I managed to get a few favorites out anyway. I love the personality, fun and freedom of photo sessions like these! What a great morning with the Whatley family!

Adcock Family

Posted: November 29, 2011 in Family, Portraits

I met this family providentially through a reader of my personal blog that linked a post to a friend, Tracy Adcock. Upon reading my suggested blog post Tracy learned we were not only alike in the area of adoption but lived in the same town, both of our husbands were on staff at a church in the area and we went to the same college back in the day. Tracy contacted me via Facebook and we hit it off as instant friends. So needless to say it was an honor to photograph their family as a part of our Photos For A Purpose event. They came to the November session at Old Mill and all proceeds went to Ugandan missions.

Tara Crawford

Before I left town, one of my sweetest friends asked me to help her with a Christmas gift for her husband. I jumped at the chance to photograph this mother of 3 for several reasons: 1. She is gorgeous 2. I like her husband and I knew he would love the gift of pictures of his wife and 3. She is gorgeous. We had a blast driving around town getting shots at Tin City and the beach. We lost track of time and by the time we got to the shore, the sun was setting and we only got a few shots off before it was pitch black. So we had to reschedule a round 2 and met again another day. Tin City was a crazy time shooting b/c there was a creepy guy following us around, inviting us (Tara-she is gorgeous remember) to go to  a bar with him. We even had a kid at the ice cream store on watch for us so that if the guy came close to where we were shooting, he would warn us. It was lots of fun and Tara is such an encouraging friend for me so it was a blast! Here are some shots from our time together.

This Cuban beauty is another girl I have known for many years. She is sassy and fun and one of my favorite people on the planet! I knew her face would capture the camera during our senior picture shoot together and I was right!
